The OBJN was created in April 23rd, 2002. It is a free scientific and peer-reviewed journal, owned, and published quarterly (April/August/December), between April 2004 to March 2010, by Professional Master in Nursing Program, School of Nursing, Fluminense Federal University, RJ, Brazil. Since 2011 belongs exclusively to School of Nursing, Fluminense Federal University. It provides knowledge interchange among Brazilian and international researchers and practitioners in the field of nursing, health, and issues related to these fields.
