Abstract

Quantitative bibliographical research, sub-project of a work entitled “Management Model of Nursing Ambulatory Care to the Patient with Hypertension”, aims to raise scientific production concerning Nursing ambulatory care to the patient with Hypertension. Thirty eight national publications located in the Nursing Database (BDENF) have been used, from the 90’s to our current days. Results: in the analyzed period, there has been ample advertising of the theme in respectable Brazilian scientific magazines, most of which having been published between 1996 and 2002 in the Southern region, mainly in the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Conclusion: there should be better distribution of the scientific work concerning the theme, by nursing professionals to keep them updated with the techniques used in nursing ambulatory care to the patient with hypertension, focussing on non-hypertension medicated treatment.
