Editorial: expresses the policy and philosophy of OBJN and points to emerging areas that deserve reflection from the scientific community. Editorials may be requested from researchers by invitation of the Editor-in-Chief/Associate Editor and should address current themes.

Original articles: are quantitative (clinical or non-clinical), qualitative, or mixed studies. All study modalities will have, equally, space for publication in OBJN. All original research manuscripts must include an introduction with a clear and concise description of the knowledge gap and a clear and concise objective. Theoretical framework or philosophical orientation, typology (design, method, or study design), participants, data collection and analysis processes and procedures, ethical aspects, issues and approaches of legitimacy and credibility, findings and implications of these findings. Clinical trials must be registered on recognized national (like ReBEC) or international (like ClinicalTrials.gov) platforms before data collection begins.

Review Articles: Review studies with high methodological rigor will be accepted, in the modalities of systematic reviews and scoping reviews. These should be guided by PRISMA (Systematic reviews of literature and meta-analyses) or PRISMA ScR (Scoping Review) and have their protocols registered in PROSPERO, OSF or equivalent, available on open access websites. OBJN does not accept integrative or narrative reviews.

Implementation, Innovation, Prospecting, and/or Technological Development Research: are long articles that present the description of implementation studies, research applied to professional practice, and/or technological innovation development. These should follow the SQUIRE guide and must mandatorily contain: background (state of the art or technique), problem (current diagnosis), proposed solution to the problem, technology differential, benefits, technology results, and market potential. This type of article is considered original.

Reflection Articles: academic text that allows authors to express their opinions, ideas, and thoughts on a topic related to Nursing or related areas. It should deeply explore and analyze relevant subjects, based on concepts and/or theories, offering personal and critical insights. It must contain: abstract, introduction, development, conclusion, and references.

Experience Reports, Updates, and/or Technological Innovation: manuscript that describes innovative experiences lived in the health area, highlighting main results for the quality of care/teaching and/or research. It must contain: abstract, introduction, method, results, discussion, and conclusion. In this modality, results can be presented together with the discussion.

Letter to the Editor: refers to sending comments, questions, and/or critiques about published articles. Maximum one page.
