Custo-efetividade da telemedicina no acompanhamento de asmáticos: revisão sistemática

Resumo

Objetivo: revisar sistematicamente a literatura sobre custo-efetividade da telemedicina no acompanhamento de asmáticos. Método: Revisão sistemática nas bases de dados PUBMED/MEDLINE, BIREME e Central Cochrane. Foram considerados artigos publicados em qualquer idioma, no período de 2005 a 2018, de acordo com as diretrizes PRISMA. Resultados: cinco artigos foram selecionados (n=2497 sujeitos), todos os estudos foram realizados em países europeus. As intervenções de telemedicina foram realizadas por enfermeiras (4 de 5 estudos), com duração de 16 semanas a 12 meses. Custos com telemedicina foram semelhantes ou ligeiramente menores em comparação aos tratamentos usuais. Intervenções de telemedicina mostraram efeito em outros desfechos da asma, como controle da doença (1 de 5 estudos), qualidade de vida (3 de 5 estudos) e hospitalizações (1 de 5 estudos). Conclusão: intervenções de telemedicina reduzem ligeiramente os custos com manejo da asma e podem ter impacto em indicadores de morbidade.  Descritores: telemedicina; asma; custo-efetividade; análise custo-benefício.
